Swamp creatures of the night heard Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, for Valentino’s call as they tapped a rather darker force almost foreign to the emperor’s touch. Despite the drastic turn to the dark side, and with no signature hints of red in sight, the house of Valentino is moving in a new direction, but still taking along all the frills, bows, and soft nuances for the ride. Rounded structured skirts of textured black detailing including feathers and lace with tight translucent bodices, is it something to say that the Valentino girl has found tangible elements of pretty during such a dark time? Needless to say, despite the risk in venturing off onto a road less taken for Valentino, the jeopardy is exciting and something of a thrill for the evolution of fashion, and more so the beloved house of Valentino.
